David Walker’s 5 favorite shallow water baits

David Walker burst onto the Elite Series scene in 2011 as he won the Dixie Duel on Alabama’s Wheeler Lake. Though he won the event fishing offshore, Walker is an adept sight fisherman. Here are his five go-to baits when the spawn is on.

<p><strong>2. Koppers Hollow Body Frog</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>One of my favorites is the Live Target Hollow Body Frog. It works great when I’m finishing anywhere I’ve got a lot of pads or matted grass. </p>

<p><strong>3. Jig with Z-Man Flappin' Crawz</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>I always keep a flipping jig tied on with a Z-Man Flappin Crawz on the back of it. That Z-Man bait floats really well and keeps the back end of the bait up.</p>

Koppers Live Target Popper Frog</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>Another of my favorites is the Live Target Popper Frog really does a nice job of making that big bubble and that popping sound that triggers a lot of bites. I like it more for open water like a round docks and isolated cover. </p>
