FORT SMITH, Ark. — BOOYAH, a premium brand of fishing lures, has launched a national marketing campaign designed to grab the attention and imagination of avid bass anglers everywhere. BOOYAH will be hitting the road and 4-wheeling to major bass fishing tournaments and consumer shows throughout the nation – and ultimately giving away a custom truck, valued at close to $70,000. The promotion is designed to raise awareness to the new branding of BOOYAH.
“Our market research provided great consumer insight about avid anglers,”said John Skrabo, Vice President of Marketing for PRADCO Outdoor Brands, which owns BOOYAH, as well as 25-plus fishing and hunting brands. “They’re bold. They’re competitive. They want the best. They like having something that nobody else has. And they like to win.”
BOOYAH recently announced the signing of 2004 Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year, Gerald Swindle, to the BOOYAH team. “Swindle is a perfect fit for the brand,” Skrabo said. “He has great charisma, he is fiercely competitive – and he wins bass tournaments.” Swindle is one of the favorites to win the 2014 Bassmaster Classic, hosted at Lake Guntersville, Ala., considered in his backyard.
In addition to signing Swindle to the BOOYAH pro staff, the brand also announced a major partnership with B.A.S.S., the largest fishing organization in the country.
“There’s no better way to reach these aggressive and passionate anglers than through the Bassmaster’s multi-media platforms,” said Chris Gulstad, Global Brand Manager for fishing. “Their reach goes way beyond its 500,000-plus members.”
The BOOYAH truck promotion launches Feb. 21-23 at the Bassmaster Classic in Birmingham, Ala. The truck will be featured in the BOOYAH Booth.
