What is it?
Godzilla’s go-to plug, the new Lucky Craft medium-running crankbait, SKT Magnum MR. No, the dollar isn’t small, the crankbait is just that big.
What does it do?
Appeals to bass worth catching.
How do I use it?
Like you would any old medium-runner, but only in ponds where the big girls prowl, or if you’re after that bite of a lifetime. Lucky Craft also reports that due to the bill shape, the Magnum series don’t pull as hard as you’d imagine. The MR, though it’s labeled as a medium runner, is reported to hit 13 or 14 feet on heavy line. The deep diver? Twenty-five all day, according to Skeet Reese.
What sets it apart?
Its size is the most obvious thing, but beyond that, it comes standard with Lucky Craft’s top-of-the-line finishes, hooks and action. The body of the MR alone is five inches; with the hook extended it scrapes seven.
