WHAT SETS IT APART?
Costa Del Mar released its next generation of the popular Untangled collection in July at ICAST, winning the eyewear category of Best of Show. The latest iteration features four new performance frames made from discarded fishing nets. Those are collected by its partner Buero, which gets the nets from coastal communities in South America, cleans and packages them, and then shreds and melts the recycled material into NetPlus pellets.
HOW DO I USE IT?
The more functional NetPlus material now allows Costa to build sunglasses with maximum coverage and protection for long days on the water. The angler-specific Santiago is worth a look. It offers a protective, maximum-coverage frame, and hooding with side shields to prevent light from leaking in. Keeper-ready temples and Hydrolite rubber grips keep frames locked in place, while vented nose pads help reduce fogging.
