WHAT SETS IT APART?
For the most part this time of the year, it is incredibly hard to beat a crankbait, especially around southern fisheries that hold smallmouth. The Curve 55 is the perfect size to trick those smallmouth into biting as the bait is only 2.25” long and weights just 3/8 of an ounce and can dive down to ten feet. The bait also features a unique weight chamber that is U-shaped which causes the lure to hunt erratically upon the retrieve and improves castability. It also comes with premium wide gap hooks that are ready to go right out of the package. And not to mention over 30+ color selections to choose from.
HOW DO I USE IT?
Lakes such as Dale Hollow, Lake Cumberland, Pickwick, and Cherokee to name a few are great places in my mind where this bait will shine especially in the wintertime and early spring months. Not only a great bait for smallmouth, but it can also be an excellent bait for largemouth and spotted bass.
This bait truly shines when you are cranking rocky banks, points, and flats that you need the bait to be in that five-to-ten-foot range. The rounded bill is designed to reflect off of rocks and help the bait produce a tight wiggle.

I recently picked a few of these up before I took a recent trip to Lake Cumberland to do some cranking for smallmouth. Within the first few casts, the castability of the bait blew me away with how well it casts being as small and compact as it is. On 12lb fluorocarbon, I could easily get the bait in that eight-to-ten-foot range and helped me boat a few smallmouth along the way.
Call me crazy, I have used a lot of other brands cranking and have had my fair share of getting them snagged pretty frequently. This bait deflects off of cover extremely well due to its compactness and bill design and that is something that is useful throughout the day when you are trying to make as many casts as possible.
