SPRO’s objective here was to create a multi-faceted walking topwater bait appealing to largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass wherever they roam. The resulting Fat Papa Walker varies from the traditional cigar-shaped walker. It’s set apart by including a distended belly that pushes water and allows the angler to create a wide gliding motion with minimal effort. Experienced anglers will find that they can make this bait perform a range of fish-tempting tricks, while beginners learn to walk this bait with ease.
HOW DO I USE IT?
At 130 millimeters and 7/8 ounce, the SPRO Fat Papa is a little larger than the average walk-the-dog topwater bait, so it’ll cast farther and present a more enticing profile. Designed with a cupped mouth, this bait will chug and spit when worked with sharp forward snaps. Also, the dual rattle chambers enhance the appeal with sound patterns that grab a fish’s curiosity. Available in eight colors, this bait sports two Gamakatsu trebles on the belly and a feathered Gamakatsu treble on the tail.
