Przekurat’s sensational Sunday on St. Lawrence

Follow along with leader Jay Przekurat as he takes on the final day of the 2022 Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite at St. Lawrence River!

We’re back in the distance with leader, Jay Przekurat, on Championship Sunday of the 2022 Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite at St. Lawrence River.
We caught up with Przekurat early, who was already reeling one in as we pulled up.
This smallmouth decided to put on some acrobatics.
It was hard to tell at this distance, but once Przekurat pulled the fish up it became clear that this was a giant!
A six plus pounder in the boat to start the day off! Przekurat is already coming out swinging.
This fish pulls Przekurat further into the lead on BASSTrakk. Showing him seven pounds ahead of second place and 13 pounds ahead of third. He still has three fish left to fill his limit!
He is sticking with the same plan, spot and technique as the entire week so far. Throwing a finess style bait, covering a large surface area and using his graph to locate the fish.
A couple small ones here and there are a definite.
But he soon locates another big one!
And it’s in the boat for another 3-12 added to his total weight.
And immediately he hooks up again.
Not a giant, but Przekurat has a limit and is knocking on the door of the century club with a total weight of 98-12 according to BASSTrakk.
After a little searching Przekurat finds another.
And it’s a 4 pounder in the boat! Przekurat is right at 99-9 on BASSTrakk… but I think it was safe to say his total weight was more than likely breaking 100 at this point.
And he keeps it going! He doesn’t let up and is officially a century club member and more than likely coming away with the win!
