On Seminole with Felix and friends

Join Austin Felix, John Cox and more on Day 3 of the 2023 Gamakatsu Bassmaster Elite at Lake Seminole!

After two extremely consistent days, Austin Felix found himself sitting in fourth-place heading into semifinal Saturday.
The former Elite Series Champion started his day fishing a stretch of offshore grass with a big swimbait before heading shallow to fish for spawning bass.
“Looks like my swimbait hole has dried up,” Felix said.
Felix made the move to the bank and began looking for spawning fish. The lowlight conditions makes it difficult to see the fish, so Felix was mostly “blind” fishing.
John Cox, who also ended Day 2 inside the Top 10, made his way into the area as well.
Felix boats his first keeper of the morning.
It was as if a light switch was flipped, as Cox hooked up immediately after Felix.
Felix locates a bass on bed and goes to work.
Just a few moments later, Felix hooks up with the fish.
Felix boated the last keeper and pushed further into the vegetation. This immediately pays off as he hooks up two keepers back to back.
The majority of the bites Felix was getting were males. However, it’s always encouraging to get a few bites early.
