Kennedy’s stellar Saturday morning

See Steve Kennedy leap up the leaderboard early on the third morning of the 2023 SiteOne Bassmaster Elite at Lake Okeechobee!

After two consistent days of fishing at the SiteOne Bassmaster Elite at Lake Okeechobee, Steve Kennedy found himself sitting in third place heading into semifinal Saturday.
Kennedy has had plenty of company in his area, including Brandon Card, Jake Whitaker and others.
Whitaker sacked the biggest bag out of this area on Day 2 and also found himself sitting inside the Top 10.
Kennedy worked his way around a large stretch of pads and noticed fish on his forward-facing swimming around the cover.
Just a few moments later, he boats his first keeper of the morning.
RIght behind us, Card is also hooked up with a small one.
Cameraman Jake Latendresse said that Kennedy was able to see the fist swimming around the pads and even possibly fish on bed.
Kennedy worked his way back towards his starting spot and hooked up shortly after.
Kennedy’s frog frenzy continues on Day 3.
Card hooks up once again with a small one.
Even while Card was hooked up, it was hard to take your eyes off the frog.
The blowup heard around the pocket was this giant eight pound bass that flushed Kennedy’s frog.
Catching an eight pounder early on Day 3 sets Kennedy up to make a move towards the top of the leaderboard.
Rightfully so, Kennedy was fired up once he got his hands on this 8-1 beast.
The Alabama pro works his way around the rest of the flat.
Elite Series rookie Joey Cifuentes makes his way into the crowd.
