Early morning action with Canterbury, Norsetter

Catch up with Scott Canterbury and Kyle Norsetter as they share water early on Day 1 of the 2024 AFTCO Bassmaster Elite at Lake Fork!

On the road leading into the weigh-in and take-off area of the AFTCO Bassmaster Elite on Lake Fork, there is a bridge that crosses the very back of Little Caney Creek. Moments after the take off, that small area filled up with competitors. At least five Elite anglers were in there in the close confines and some of them were actually catching fish.
Asked how so many of them decided to pile into such a small place, Scott Canterbury replied “in practice when the weather is freezing and it’s blowing 30 miles an hour these are about the only places you could get.”
Obviously there were a few fish in the small creek. Canterbury and Kyle Norsetter actually caught their first keepers there. And Cory Johnston worked on a bedding bass that he could see, but was playing coy.
The scene caused a small traffic jam and forced some spectators to leave their vehicles and venture closer to see the intimate action.
