Early action with Blaylock

Head out early with Stetson Blaylock on Day 3 of the 2022 Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite at St. Lawrence River!

Stetson Blaylock made one of the biggest jumps up the leaderboard on Day 2 of the Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite at St. Lawrence River. A 27-11 bag on Day 2 helped the Arkansas pro leap from 32nd to 4th-place headed into Day 3.
Blaylock even mentioned that his Day 2 could have been even better, as he lost at least a couple of fish that he estimated to be over 5-pounds.
The first hour of the morning was extremely slow, but it turned on quickly.
The three-time Classic qualifier made a small adjustment and went to getting bites immediately.
This was his first keeper of the morning. A great start for Blaylock.
After putting number one in the box, he gets back after it.
Blaylock mentioned that he was targeting specific rock piles that were different from the others.
Despite the relatively slow start, the bite turned on quickly and Blaylock took advantage.
Keeper number two is another good one.
Blaylock gets rigged back up and gets back in there.
He immediately hooks up again, this time with another good fish.
Number three is another good one.
The flurry continued, as Blaylock hooks up again. All of his first four keepers came within 30 minutes.
To this point in the morning, Blaylock was fortunate that most of the smallmouth were fairly cooperative, but this one wanted to put on a show.
Number four is in the boat.
Blaylock pulls in a small fish that wouldn’t keep.
The calm conditions on Lake Ontario had boats of all kinds out and about.
After working the area over, the Arkansas native makes his way to another location.
This move pays off big time, as Blaylock lands his fifth keeper of the morning.
