B.A.S.S. photographer Kyle Jessie just caught up with Jacob Foutz, right in time to see him boat this 4- pounder. That has Foutz up to 18- pounds, 4- ounces according to BassTrakk.
Jessie reported that he believes Foutz has been hanging around the same offshore hump all morning, having seen Foutz there earlier in the day while chasing down another angler. Foutz is doing the same thing we’re seeing other anglers do offshore, rotating through baits every 10 or 15 casts.
After having a rough start to the year, missing out on the first three Day 3 cuts, Foutz has rallied with a 3rd place finish at Chickamauga and a solid 28th place finish at Fork, making his way up to 3rd in the Falcon Rods Rookie of the Year Race. He’s got himself in a great position here again so far today to keep the rally going.
