Bryan Schmitt’s 5th keeper is finally in the boat. He’s returned to where he caught a good one this morning and is “gonna grind away the best I can here.”
Schmitt is sticking with the drop shot and having to fish it painfully slow in order to get bit. But the bites he’s getting are better than average. Schmitt is currently sitting in 6th with 14-3 and a couple of 2-pounders available to cull.
Judging by what we’ve seen though, Schmitt’s guesstimates that he’s reporting to BassTrakk are a little low. He estimated this one at 2-8 for instance, likely closer to 3-8 despite the long arming.
Safe to say Schmitt’s 14- pound bag is closer to 16. He should be in good shape at this point to fish tomorrow.
