Justin Atkins is the latest to fire a shot at Kyoya Fujita, boating a 4-4 moments ago to climb into 2nd. However, Fujita’s first 4-pounder of the day came a half hour earlier, and it’s enough to guard his lead for the time being, though it has dwindled to 1 pound, 13 ounces.
Atkins has two 3 1/2- pounders in the boat. So, with two 4- and 1/2- pound bites he could still cull him up enough to overtake Fujita for sure. Cody Huff sits in 3rd, 2 pounds, 8 ounces back. He has three in his bag under 4 pounds. Plenty of room to cull up as well. Fujita though, with a decent lead and only one fish over 4 pounds, still holds the cards with 2 and 1/2 hours left.
