One of the feel good stories of the week, Larry Nixon is back on the water with BASS. A storied career marked by a Bassmaster Classic win in ‘83, 25 Classic appearances and 14 wins, Nixon has won more than $1.6 million with BASS. And nearly $2,000,000 with FLW. Nixon, by the nickname The General, is one of the greatest of all time. And he’s back where he belongs.
He’s having a slow start this morning, but was eager for the opportunity to start his time back at BASS with a big day-one bag. The General hopefully has several seasons still left in the tank, and he doesn’t plan on going anywhere. “This is where I want to retire.”
