Livesay gets the wheels turning

After a frustratingly start, Lee Livesay finally got his productivity rolling by catching a 4-pound, 4-ounce fish at 9:15. Days 1 and 2 saw him put up big numbers in the first two hours, but today tested his patience.

As of 9:45, Livesay has four fish for 17-3. Good average, but he’ll definitely need to find bigger bites to maintain the lead he carried into Semi-final Saturday. He caught a 7-12 on Day 1 and a 7-11 on Day 2, so if Livesay can continue his pattern of productivity, he’ll be in good shape.

Livesay has often said that these Lake Fork fish tend to ignite later in the day. While the first two days saw him catch all of his weight early, perhaps today is the day he’ll be able to leverage that afternoon feeding window.

Livesay’s four fish put him an ounce ahead of Gerald Swindle, who’s 26-pound bag is the day’s second-largest, behind Josh Stracner’s 28-3.
