Alex Redwine is rooming with fellow rookie and tournament leader Jay Przekurat this season. Redwine just let us in on the little-known story of how Przekurat found his primary school of fish this week.
On Day 1 of the tournament, Przekurat had two small fish in the well mid-morning. He heard something off to his side and turned to see a 6-pound smallmouth chasing a minnow in the distance. He trolled over and his graph lit up with big ones by the bunches. This is where he’s done most of his damage now the last 4 days.
Reminiscent of another 23-year-old, Bryan Kerchal, taking a nap, waking up to find a worm floating in the water and proceeded to win the Bassmaster Classic on it.
When it’s your time, it’s your time.
