Gary Clouse had only one fish at 9 a.m. today, but it was a good one – an 8-pound, 10-ounce largemouth. It was the big bass of the day to that point. Interestingly, several anglers mentioned that they expected the bigger bass to be caught after the noon hour, based on what they’d experienced during practice. If that’s the case, Clouse is in good shape with an 8-pounder already on his scorecard.
