Cifuentes ups the ante, Lowen with a flurry

Fishing two drastically different patterns, Joey Cifuentes and Bill Lowen both just went on a tear. The cowboy may have done all he needs to do to hold onto this one, plucking a few solid 2- to 3- pound fish off the standing timber around his boat to cull up to 16- pounds. Kyoya Fujita still has the best chance of running him down with a couple big late bites.

After a slow morning for Bill Lowen highlighted by one lone big 5- pound bite at 9:35, Dollar Bill Lowen just boated a couple close to 4- pounds in about 15 minutes power fishing in shallow vegetation. A little bit of everything has been in play this week, from 1 foot of water to 25 feet. This quick bite window illustrated that well. Some fun fishing to watch still lies ahead no doubt.
