Brock Mosley started Day 3 with the lead, and he may well have enough already to hold the lead going into Championship Sunday. Just an hour into the day, Mosley has the Phoenix Boats Big Bass lead with a 4-10, as well as a couple 2-pounders. With an estimated 11-12 already and two small keepers in his bag, he is in fantastic shape, throwing a popper in the Sabine and having fun.
Alex Whetherell sat in fourth at the close of the scales on Day 1, but fell to 16th after a tough Day 2. His first bite of Day 3 though has him headed back in the right direction in a hurry, a 3-5. That’s over half his Day 2 limit weight of 6-2 in just one fish. Wetherell has to be feeling good, and no doubt hoping to put a couple more like this in the boat and make a run at this thing.
