Elite Man Caves: Clent Davis

Welcome to Clent Davis’ Alabama man cave.

Davis recently hosted the Montevallo Bass Team to his large man cave to help the anglers wrap their boats for the upcoming season. Many years ago, Davis started the Montevallo Bass Fishing Team, which is now recognized as one of the largest teams in the country.

The right side of Davis’ man cave is home to a mixture of things â tackle, hats, boat cleaner and his work bench.

Like many Elite Series pros, Davis has baits hanging all over the place.

Amongst the hanging baits is a handful of Yo-Zuri hard baits as well as Nichols Spinnerbaits.

Davis’ work bench is used for a number of things, but mostly for pouring lead to make jigheads during the offseason.

Swimbait jigheads and football jigs are the two things Davis pours the most.

Davis stores all of his molds just above the work bench for easy access.

A Duel Hardcore Twitch’n Ninja Glider was also on the table.

Davis’ dog “Big G” was also assisting with the tour of the man cave. Big G spends a good amount of his time in the cave as well.

Part of being a professional angler is being a part-time mechanic, so Davis keeps a wide variety of tools in the corner of the shop.

Davis did mention that he wants to avoid digging around in the toolbox if it’s at all possible.

A large gun case has a home in Davis’ shop.

While this may look like a giant mess, this is a lure retriever that was gifted to Davis by Anthony Goggins. Evidently it’s the most effective lure retriever he’s ever used.

The back corner of the man cave is home to an abundance of fishing tackle. Davis was in the process of filling new tackleboxes and preparing for the upcoming 2022 season.

Davis carries his bulk tackle in giant tubs. Each tub is labeled for easy access when he needs to restock an item or take a box with him on the road.

Davis’ other dog Charlie stopped by to say hello.

Gamakatsu’s new Under Spin Head will certainly have a place in Davis’ tacklebox for the upcoming year.

Large spools of Yo-Zuri line are a must for Davis to maintain fresh line on all of his reels. If you look closely, you will see big spools of line all over his man cave.

Davis was surprised to find a toy that was left in the shop by his daughter.

Not every man cave has a $300,000 check hanging on the wall.

It’s evident that Davis is a hardcore deer hunter by the number of deer antlers on the wall. He was gearing up to head to Illinois to deer hunt at the time this tour was shot.

Davis represents a local clothing company in Coosa Cotton.

Not quite a $300,000 check, but this $20,000 was huge for Davis early on in his career as a co-angler on the FLW Tour.

Davis does his best to keep as much Bassmaster Classic memorabilia as possible.

Just a short walk from Davis’ shop is his garage, which is home to numerous cool items.

After winning the 2018 Forrest Wood Cup, current Alabama State Senator April Weaver recognized Davis for his accomplishment.

Davis started the fishing team at the University of Montevallo. Since then, the Bass Fishing Team as transformed into one of the premier destinations for collegiate anglers.
