Mission statement: Carolina’s Bass Challenge was started to give working anglers a place to fish a lucrative weekend trail in a team format exclusive of pro fishermen.

Best lake or lakes visited: Lake Murray, because of a record 201-boat turnout
Average turnout per tournament: 160 boats

Also: The trail is put on by both Foothills Marine and Marshall’s Marine, and the dealers pride themselves on their 100 percent payback per event as well as the three Skeeter Boats given away each year.
