On March 20th, twenty-five teams came out to fish in the Caernarvon Bass Trail’s second event of the season. Some really nice weights were brought to the scales, which is a good sign for a fishery that’s bouncing back after an overactive hurricane season in 2020. It took over 14 pounds to cash a check, and the average weight per boat surpassed the 10-pound mark. Both are great signs for things to come here in south Louisiana!
At the weigh-in’s conclusion, the team of Jake Impastato and Jeff Devillier bested the field bringing in the heaviest sack of fish with 19.68 pounds. They also took home the prize for big bass of the tournament with a 4.96-pound largemouth!
