John Cox has started the morning in the creek where he did all of his damage on Day 2. The water has risen about 4 inches since he left yesterday and there are still plenty of shad present. Cox has a crowd of about four boats around and Opens angler Jon Jezierski is watching from the bridge along with several other fans.
The water has dirtied up in the very back of the creek he is fishing, but there is current moving through. So far, Cox has caught one non-keeper bass, which mirrors his pace from yesterday. He did say he saw a bunch under one of the bridges and he hopes they start to move up. Cox started the day in second place, 5 pounds, 12 ounces behind leader Jeff Gustafson.
